Welcome to the ConTakt Lab. Based at the TU Dresden, we are an interdisciplinary and international group of passionate researchers that investigate how and why we interact with others using our many senses. Our research falls broadly into a) describing the dynamics and consequences of coordination in groups and b) the neurophysiological underpinnings and consequences of social affective touch. As part of the CeTI Excellence Cluster and the 6G Life project, our team is figuring out what our affective touch experiences will look like in an ever more digital world. Will we ever trust a robot that can touch and be touched? Can social touch be used as a medicine? Can we really experience social touch in virtual reality?
